Last modified: 09 December 2009

This ERASMUS MUNDUS Master Course on Ecohydrology (ECOHYD) aims to create highly specialized professionals in the area of Ecohydrology, both with understanding about the ecological processes and ecosystems functioning, as well as the harmonization of such ecological processes with more traditional engineering approaches.

The consortium gathers expertises from highly experienced HEI, Research centers and UNESCO centers in this field.  The International Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences – European Regional Centre for Ecohydrology under the auspices of UNESCO (ERCE) is one of the project partners next to the UNESCO - Institute for Water Education, the University of Lodz (Poland), the University of Algarve (Portugal), the University of Kiel (Germany) and the University of La Plata (Argentina), the International Centre for Coastal Ecohydrology (UNESCO Centre, Portugal), the Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (Croatia), the HIDROEX (UNESCO centre, Brazil). All of  partners bring their own expertises that are complementary and consider freshwater ecohydrology, coastal ecohydrology, oceanography, engineering and integrated water resources management.
